About

The craft behind the dark

Mythos brings together storytelling, set building and show engineering to make places that feel alive, and builds the technology that runs them.

Our story

Mythos started with a simple question: what if the room itself could tell the story? Not a screen or a recording, but a space that notices you, answers you, and seems to remember you were there.

Answering it meant building our own tools. Off-the-shelf props play the same trick for everyone, so we design the controllers, sensors and software ourselves, and shape them around each story instead of the other way round.

The goal is always the same: a few minutes in which you forget anyone built it at all.

Illustration of the workshop: tools on a pegboard, a controller board with glowing lights, a servo-driven prop hand, and the ghost under the bench lamp.

How it's made

Every Mythos experience runs on show technology we design and build in-house.

Show nodes

Small networked controllers hidden in the set drive servos, valves, relays and lights, and read the sensors that tell a room someone has arrived.

Show control

A venue system ties every node together, so effects across a whole space can be cued, tuned and monitored from one console.

Mixed reality

Headset scenes are anchored to the real room, so virtual characters share the space with the physical set.

Working together

How a project comes together

  1. Listen

We start with the space and the people who'll walk through it: what the room is for, how long guests stay, and what you want them to feel on the way out.

  2. Design

Story and technology are designed together, so every effect has a reason to happen and a place to hide.

  3. Build

Sets, props and show hardware are built and tested in the workshop, then installed and tuned in the room itself.

  4. Run

Each experience runs from one console, so it can be cued, adjusted and checked on without anyone climbing behind the scenery.
